Transforming Self-Doubt into Strength: Conquering Stress and Anxiety with Essential Oils

Do you ever struggle with self-doubt and how it affects your health and well-being, causing tension and anxiety? I recently experienced something that transformed my perspective, and I’d like to share it with you.

I had a bad sore throat and a high fever last week, which added to my tension and worry. The pain was excruciating, making it difficult to eat, sleep, and even speak. Surprisingly, this health crisis followed the posting of my latest video on my social media. The discomfort led me to confront something deeper.

You know what? I felt so stupid. Despite being in the UK for 14 years, I still have the accent. I was judging myself to the point where I couldn’t listen to myself, and I couldn’t even watch my videos. I was starting to feel less well because of all of this self-doubt and fear.

Four days of pain, four sleepless nights, and starving because I couldn’t even swallow food. On the 4th day, I asked myself, ‘What am I doing to myself? What’s the problem? Where do I lack support? Where am I in conflict, and why? What do I need to feel better? What’s my internal dialogue?

Disease only appears when there’s suppressed negative energy inside, something that needs healing. I wondered, ‘Where is this self-judgement coming from? Is it my problem with the way I speak with my accent, or is it coming from someone else’s perspective that I’ve adopted as my own?

After a few days of emotional and physical stress, I decided to deal with the underlying cause of my anxiety and tension. I used essential oils, particularly a blend of fractionated coconut oil, vetiver, basil, and helichrysum for my throat chakra. These oils are widely known for their ability to help with communication problems, enabling us to connect with our inner voice and express ourselves kindly.

During my regular coaching session on Monday with my business coach, she immediately addressed my issue. She asked me, ‘How important are the people who might judge you for your English? What potential do they have if they judge you? And what’s the potential of people who don’t judge? And a big realisation hit me.

I understood that it’s okay for some people to be critical of my accent, my content, or me. These people are not my target audience, the ones I aim to serve with my therapies, retreats, and aromatherapy sessions. I record videos to share my passion and knowledge, and those who appreciate it are the ones I want to connect with and support.

My accent is actually a strength rather than a limitation, I realised. It can serve as a filter for people, removing unneeded tension and worry. There are people who appreciate that I offer therapies, retreats, and aromatherapy sessions in English because they don’t understand Slovak, for example, and are inspired by my courage to pursue a career as an immigrant from Eastern Europe.

And guess what? Almost magically, when I had this realisation, my throat started to feel less painful, and by the end of the day, I felt no discomfort. I’m not joking here. Believe it or not, my suffering was gone, and my newfound perspective not only relieved my physical pain but also restored my confidence, reducing my stress and anxiety.

I’m excited about creating more in English now that I have this newfound power and passion for it. I’ve conquered self-doubt and am ready to move forward, devoted to uplifting and supporting more people.

As I wrap up this journey of self-discovery with essential oils, I encourage you to reflect on your own experiences.
